It's being ages since i walked the streets of downtown
Yesterday, that was July 1st - Canada Day, since i have some time now to visit friends, places, i took a nice walk in downtown. Things have changed in the past couple of years. At the corner of Davie and Hornby street, there is a public garden, it's so nice to see it, surrounded by high rises.
On another note, if you are into gardening or growing vegetables for yourself, you could get a lot from these public spaces.
With the construction of the new transit line, that will connect Vancouver and Richmond Airport, and should be completed late this summer, Granville Street totally looks different. The trees that used to be along the street were cut down. A few businesses that used to be there for years have closed or moved out or relocated - The Burger King, for example.
New buildings are everywhere, at Seymour and Smithe Davie and How, Robson and Richards. While i was working as a Downtown Ambassadors several years ago, this corners were clear.
Downtown Vancouver is sure getting a make over for the Olympics.
