Networking

Networking, so essential in your everyday activity

Another book recommended for reading. Once you read it, you will realize that Networking is a big part of your everyday life, part of making friends, finding a job, develop your leadership skills.

The book shows you how to talk to people, develop your communication skills. Forget the typical conversation, that goes like this:

A: "Hi, how are you?"
B: "Good"

A: "What is new?"
B: "Not much"

A: "Good"
B: "We'll talk later..."

After you read this book, you will have plenty to say when your friends or someone asks you, "What's new?"

Yesterday, that was July 1st - Canada Day, since i have some time now to visit friends, places, i took a nice walk in downtown. Things have changed in the past couple of years. At the corner of Davie and Hornby street, there is a public garden, it's so nice to see it, surrounded by high rises.

On another note, if you are into gardening or growing vegetables for yourself, you could get a lot from these public spaces.

Go see the fireworks - why?

If you are into networking, it is actually a good place to meet people, sounds strange but true. There are tons of people around you, walking with you, bumping into you. Bring some business card if you have, or before you leave, write down your page on a sticky note.

You never know who you will meet, make some friends, exchange information, the person might not be interested about blogging but he or she might know someone that would be interested about it. If you give out 100 business cards, i can guarantee you that someone will follow you - meaning, will check your web site often.

Stick with your plan, remember, you are networking here, your goal is to have people visit your web site and read your blog, not picking up woman.
